The mission of our Hospice is to treat all its patients with dignity and respect by providing unmatched quality care. Our greatest fulfillment is to branch out and heal the hearts of all of its patients and involved family members. Excellence Hospice Care will provide 24-hour bedside nursing when any patient is struggling with pain or discomfort. In addition, we will provide respite options for caregivers involved with their patients’ daily care. Our mission is to ensure a comfortable and fulfilling end-of-life experience by providing hospice care benefits to patients with life-limiting illnesses.

We are JCAHO Accredited. Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care organizations standards deal with organizational quality of care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided.

    Q: Are hospice services only available for 6 months?
    A: No, hospice benefits can be re-certified after 6 months if the patient’s condition is clinically deemed hospice-eligible.

    Q: Can the patient continue seeing his/her primary physician?
    A: When the patient is admitted into hospice, the physician of the patient’s choice is informed and offered the option to make home visits. If the physician disagrees, then the Hospice Medical Director will be elected.

    Will a Hospice team member make a home visit after hours if required?
    A: Absolutely! The purpose of Hospice is to provide comfort and support to both the patient and family, at all times.

    Will the Hospice provide a caregiver when needed?
    A: No, Excellence Hospice Care is not a caregiving agency; however, the Hospice team will help with resources and placement options to accommodate all of our patients’ healthcare needs.

    Is Hospice care only for patients who are living at home?
    A: Not at all. Hospice care can be provided in nursing homes, assisted-living situations, board & care, and any other long-term care facility.

    Can Hospice care be cancelled at any time?
    A: Yes, Hospice care can be terminated at any time with no obligations or questions asked.
